Known regionally for performing an aggressive and exhilarating marathon-medley from hard rock to old country, Labeled is a professional rock band ready to take their art to the national level.  After a few years of playing cover shows to earn a living, Labeled has composed a hefty catalog of original songs inspired by the wide range of genres they have loved since childhood.  In the process, they've discovered that their songs naturally shed the redundant formulas that plague composers, making Labeled truly unique in the industry.  Indeed, there is definitely a Labeled "sound," but that would be best described as Ryan's power vocals, John's bluesy rhythms, or Gason's insane percussion...you choose for yourself.  In a way, that's what their name means:  "Go ahead, put a label on us, but we're not like any other band--we're like all of them!"

Labeled's music has been noted as innovative and original, and they hope to write a new chapter in the book of Modern Rock. Considered by some to be a sweet combination of the sounds of Godsmack, Led Zeppelin, Alice In Chains and Nirvana, the band balances its influences from many genres. While their intense rhythms and edgy vocals are blatantly derivative of classic and modern Hard Rock, many rolling guitar and bass riffs are reminiscent of Country Western, Blues and even a twist of Polka! You gotta listen closely, though, because they're really LOUD!

Lead Vocals/Guitars

Ryan grew up in the house exactly two down from the trailer park (making him only 1/4 white trash) in Plattsmouth, NE, a river town of 7,000.  May not sound like many, but compared to the other members of the band he may as well have come from LA.  When he's not playing the guit-fiddle, you may catch Ryan getting even chubbier downing dubious amounts of tacos - his favorite food - or playing 8-bit Nintendo games late into the night.  He will also gladly preach to you the benefits of said out-dated video game systems over "those new ones, where the only thing you do on the games is walk around and shoot people".

He is also a walking encyclopedia of professional wrestling knowledge.  If that sort of thing interests you, Ryan can wax nostalgic about the glory days.  The rest of us have probably moved out of our mother's basements and have gotten into chicks.

Influenced mainly by artists as diverse as Chris Cornell, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Johnny Cash and a host of other great singers who also played guitar, he also channels greats like Jimmy Page and Cass Elliot, the latter for whom he still curses every ham sandwich he comes across. Ryan may also be, along with Ted Nugent, one of the only members of the Republican Party in all of rock music.

Johnny loves pickles to the point of addiction.  It may be strange to start a bio with that sentence, but trust us - it's true.  You know a man has a pickle fetish when he drinks the juice after the pickles are gone and doesn't vomit.

Named after the toilet and a farm boy for most of his childhood near Crete, NE, John acquired a love for music from his mother (who is still a music teacher to this day) and an uncanny ability to become mesmerized by anything that comes on TV in an instant.  No matter what he's doing, Johnny can stop mid-sentence to admire the qualities of vaccuum storage bags available for only 4 easy payments of only $10.99.  After intense contemplation and more Lawrence Welk marathons than anyone under 60 should have to bear witness to, he decided to develop a modern rock sound rather than the classical performances his mom preferred.

John prefers to incorporate the more punchy, rhythmic styles of bassists like Nikki Sixx and Chris Novoselic to mix better as a trio.  In Labeled's music, there are no rules, and you'll often hear the bass playing the melody line to power out the intense, full sound Labeled is able to create.

Bass/Vocals

Percussion

Pronounced like Jason but spelled like gass-on, known to his fans as "Power Drums" and his bandmates as "Poophead", Gason is the pounding, Animal-from-The-Muppet-Show-like force of Labeled.  Much like John, growing up miles from civilization (or at least the nearest McDonald's) and working on the farm during his formative years instilled a desire to express himself the only way he saw fit:  beating the hell out of things.  So he and John started the band back in 1998 and have been together in a hetero-lifemate bond only two former pig farmers can share.  And he can still slop a hog a heap better than your average rock drummer.

Gason is involved in approximately 52,000 online fantasy sports leagues, is definitely the slimmest "manager" in all of the internet, and if there is a bat, a ball, a helmet, a racket or even a fish involved, he knows the health, hometown and shoe-size of the 3rd string players on every team.  But studying his biggest influence, Tommy Lee, is the biggest time-consuming process in creating the sound Gason is known for - more a symphony rather than just a beat.

He is also the most business-savvy of all the guys in the band; he once stopped Ryan and Johnny from foolishly handing over their paychecks for a sack of "magic" beans simply by pointing out that there is no such thing as "magic"...and the guy selling them was dressed like Skeletor - whom Gason knows was up to no good... no good at all.
